Creamer Takes On Arbitron Cross-Platform Division

Arbitron shifted responsibility for its newly created cross-platform division to Sean Creamer, evp of finance and planning and chief financial officer. The announcement made Thursday (April 22) during the company’s first-quarter earnings call, comes three months after Bill Kerr took over as president and CEO of the ratings firm.

Creamer will oversee the new division created last September to leverage the portable people meter technology beyond Arbitron’s core radio ratings services. Pierre Bouvard, executive vp of cross-platform services, now reports to Creamer. Bouvard heads up a team of about 25.

“We are working to take better advantage of our PPM panels to explore new lines of business, such as our cross-platform service,” Kerr said.

Arbitron has already dipped its toe into the cross-platform space, partnering with comScore to provide integrated measures of TV and Internet viewing during the Vancouver Olympics in February.
