6 Comic-Con 2022 Trailers You Missed

San Diego Comic-Con 2022 kicked off this past Thursday, unveiling trailers for Paramount+’s Teen Wolf: The Movie, Peacock’s Vampire Academy, National Treasure: Edge of History, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, I Am Groot and Tales of the Walking Dead on AMC. Tyler Posey is back in Teen Wolf: The Movie as Alpha werewolf Scott McCall to once again unite the Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds and other shapeshifters to battle a terrifying new evil. The cast includes Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes, Shelley Henig and a beloved character’s return.

Vampire Academy comes to Peacock on Sept. 15. Based on the bestselling series of books, the series follows two young women whose friendship transcends their class differences as they prepare to complete their education and enter vampire society. Vampire Academy stars Sisi Stringer, Daniela Nieves, Kieron Moore, André  Dae Kim, J. August Richards, Anita-Joy Uwajeh, Mia Mckenna-Bruce, Rhian Blundell, Jonetta Kaiser and Andrew Liner.

National Treasure: Edge of History is finally coming to Disney+. Based on the blockbuster film franchise, the series is about a young heroine, Jess (Lisette Olivera), who goes on an adventure of a lifetime to uncover the truth behind her family’s mysterious past while saving a lost Pan-American treasure.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is based on the popular Marvel comic. The animated series centers on 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette (Diamond White) and her T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur. The voice cast includes Laurence Fishburne, Alison Brie, Sasheer Zamata, Jermaine Fowler, Andy Cohen, Daveed Diggs, Maya Hawke, Jennifer Hudson, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Alfre Woodard and Wesley Snipes. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur will stream on Disney+ in 2023.

I Am Groot is a collection of animated shorts based on the beloved character from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Vin Diesel voices Groot in the series, which premieres on Aug. 10.

The Walking Dead spinoff Tales of the Walking Dead premieres on AMC and AMC+ on Aug. 14 at 9 p.m. The anthology series will feature six hour-long episodes with established and new characters from The Walking Dead franchise. The cast includes Olivia Munn, Samantha Morton, Terry Crews, Parker Posey, Anthony Edwards, Poppy Liu, Jillian Bell, Loan Chabanol, Embeth Davidtz, Jessie T. Usher, Daniella Pineda and Danny Ramirez.
