Sales of electric vehicles (EVs) are increasing worldwide, particularly in Europe, but one of the biggest barriers to making the transition is a fear of running out of electricity and not being able to find a charging point. Having enough infrastructure is a real concern, with rising demand for EV charging in Europe expected to outpace the growth in public supply by 2030.
French automaker Renault has come up with a solution to this issue that connects EV drivers with local communities in France—and could enable up to 475,000 additional electric charging points.
