After having adrenalized History with a string of unscripted hits like Ice Road Truckers and Ax Men, network chief Nancy Dubuc is prepping a new slate of original series for the 2008-09 season, including the latest “American Original” project, Sandhogs.

The executive vp and general manager of History on Monday (April 28) will introduce media buyers and clients to more than a dozen new series and specials, including Sandhogs, a 12-episode arc about the urban miners who work 800 feet below the sidewalks of Manhattan, excavating the tunnels that bring fresh water to New York
