Live action comedy has remained Fox’s Achilles Heel for several seasons now.

But the network could change that with two new single-cam sitcoms: Raising Hope and Running Wilde. Both shows premiere Tuesday, Sept. 21, with Raising Hope kicking off the one-hour block at 9 p.m., following Glee.

Created by Greg Garcia (My Name is Earl), Raising Hope revolves around a twentysomething named Jimmy Chance (Lucas Neff), whose one-night stand with a less-than-perfect woman results in the birth of a baby girl whom Chance then decides to rear in the midst of an already dysfunctional family.
