Those who have been to the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park know that it is one of the top zoos in the world and is committed to saving species worldwide. Now, the organization has hired integrated creative agency David&Goliath as its agency of record to help build on its success.

The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance (SDZWA), the international, nonprofit conservation organization that runs the zoo and safari park, is looking to David&Goliath to be its creative, strategic brand and thought partner as the organization builds momentum of its brand as a global leader in the wildlife care and conservation space. The agency will also help to drive visitation to the parks.

David&Goliath takes over the business for incumbent agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.

“David&Goliath is the creative powerhouse who will help to further evolve the DNA of our brand to better match what we do as a conservation organization globally,” said David Miller, chief marketing officer, SDZWA, in a statement. “Their ability to bring to life incredible, impactful campaigns will share with the world our vision, and we are eager to get started.”

The first work for the brand will center around the 50th Anniversary of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and is tentatively slated for May of 2022. It will involve online, broadcast TV and radio at a regional level.

“We are so excited to be partnering with this world-renowned, purpose-driven organization that is committed to saving wildlife species around the globe, which is so urgently needed, and helping to create lasting connections between visitors and wildlife, while promoting empathy that will inspire people to take action on behalf of wildlife,” said David Angelo, founder and creative chairman, David&Goliath, in a statement. “There’s a clear interconnectedness between animals, people and the environment, when wildlife is healthy, we’re healthy and ultimately the planet is healthy, and to be a part of that kind of long-term, sustainable impact is beyond rewarding.”
