LIN TV Acquires Red McCombs Media

LIN TV announced Tuesday (Oct. 6) it had acquired Austin, Texas-based Red McCombs Media, an online advertising and media services company.

Terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2004, RM Media’s technology and services allows advertisers to target online audiences based on demographic, psychographic and consumer behaviors.  

The acquisition will help the TV group, which operates 27 TV stations and more than 50 Web sites, advance its digital business strategy by providing advertisers with an expanded portfolio of multimedia product offerings, including targeted display, rich media, video advertising, custom-built vertical channels, search engine marketing, search engine optimization and mobile marketing.
