Colombia is the latest addition to YouTube’s list of locations, bringing YouTube to a total of 37 localized countries around the world, from Algeria to Yemen.  Colombia is the fourth international country to launch a local YouTube domain (youtube.com.co), following Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico.

What does a localized YouTube Colombia mean?  Susana Pabon, Communication Manager for Google in Colombia, explains on the YouTube blog, “With a local version of YouTube, Colombians will now be able to move easily discover content and share local talent from within their country.”

Pabon also points out that in addition to contributing to discoverability, YouTube Colombia also has economic implications.
