Create & Share Video Slideshows In Seconds With [Invites]

By Megan O'Neill

There are all sorts of slideshow creation tools out there, from Animoto to Picasa, but Easy Hi is launching a new slideshow creation tool in an attempt to make slideshow creation easier and faster than ever.  It’s called and it lets users create video slideshows using pictures from across the web, set to popular music literally in seconds.

A press release describes “as if YouTube, Instagram and Soundcloud had a love child.”  Users are invited to add photos to their slideshow from their own Facebook albums, their friends Facebook albums, Flickr, Instagram, Picplz, Picasa, a Google images search or from their desktop.

Once the pictures have been chosen, users can add popular music or search YouTube or Soundcloud for background music.  The way that they’ve done this is cool too—when a user chooses to use music from YouTube, for instance, the video is embedded in the lower corner of the slideshow and plays along with the slideshow.  Next, users can add filters and text and – voila! – they’re done.

Check out the slideshow I made of a hot air balloon ride I went on earlier this year:

EasyHi CEO, Tom More, says, “What we want to create is a new way of telling stories, and as you know there’s usually more than one photo for every story.  Personally, as a musician and avid photographer, I was always looking for new ways to add the power of music to photos. is going to become the ultimate platform for collecting, remixing, and sharing the photos and music you love.”

I really like how sort of serves as a platform for users to create a multi-media collage of content from around the web, with pictures from a variety of sources, music, text and filters. is still in private beta, but we’ve got 100 invites for Social Times readers to try out the service before it launches publicly.
