Tweeting with the Stars Breakup
Social-networking tool Twitter is now a breakup-announcing tool, as Derek Hough and Shannon Elizabeth, who became romantically involved while competing on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, announced their split on Twitter with consecutive posts, the New York Post reported.
According to the Post, the first tweet came from Hough, and the follow-up from Elizabeth. The two tweets, respectively:
Hi everyone, we wanted you all to know directly from us, that Shannon & I have decided to end our relationship as boyfriend & girlfriend .
