Yahoo! considers laying off 20% of their consumer products group while Acura sees the iPad as a way to streamline sales?

Despite Mark Zuckerberg not considering it “mobile,” this week all eyes are on the iPad and how to connect with consumers using it. Companies are willing to spending big bucks to reach out, and the latest wave in advertisement is now focused on hitting the “high value consumer” or “luxury brands” and its total nonsense. A recent poll showed that high-net worth consumers both used social media ‘more’ and ‘less frequently’ than average Americans and companies should try to market their products to high-value consumers using social media despite the evidence suggesting the same high-value consumers primarily use networks and limited time online for personal activities.
