The Sun Rises on iPad

The Sun debuted its app for Apple’s iPad tablet, and it costs one-half as much as the app introduced last month by fellow U.K. newspaper The Times, even including The Sun‘s infamous Page 3, which features topless or nude women, paidContent:UK reported.

The app costs £4.99 ($7.37) per month, while the comparable offering from The Times is priced at £9.99 ($14.76) monthly, and it features both swipeable and page-turning user interfaces, according to paidContent:UK.

The Sun was able to skirt Apple’s ban on sexually explicit content by requiring users to confirm that they are 17 or older, paidContent:UK reported.
