Steve Jobs' Death Dominated Over 15% Of All Tweets

The world is reeling from the loss of one of the greatest innovators of our times. With the passing of Steve Jobs last night, people took to Twitter to mourn together, in one of the largest outpourings the network has ever seen.

It has been less than 20 hours since news of Jobs’ death shook the world. Shortly after 8PM Eastern, “Steve Jobs” peaked on Twitter at 15.6 percent – that means that just under 16 percent of all tweets sent contained Jobs’ name.
