Hourly job marketplace Snagajob has been redesigned on mobile, offering a new set of features for mobile job seekers, which should make the app a one-stop-shop for those looking for work. These features include the ability to quickly apply to jobs with a single tap, a “Video Apply” functionality, GPS support and more.
Via the app’s newest update, users can submit applications to matching jobs by clicking once to assign their Snagajob profile to that job for consideration. In addition, users can record a video within the app and attach that to their application for potential employers to view. Users can also upload photos, if they wish. This joins the ability to record up-to 30 seconds of video for the user’s overall Snagajob profile.
In terms of GPS support, the app can automatically isolate open positions within someone’s geographical area. Or, users can manually search for jobs in other cities (say, if they’re relocating to another town or state).
These features join the app’s existing functionality, which gives users real-time status updates on job applications, the ability to save jobs and apply to them later, tips for interviews and career growth and more.
“In a matter of seconds, a job seeker can find and apply for a job in a way that’s easier, faster and fundamentally more personal, by allowing them to make a true first impression, leveraging photo and video, all from their mobile device,” said Snagajob CEO Peter Harrison. “With so many people across the country still struggling to find employment, the Snagajob app is a simple way to find jobs that match a candidate’s background.”
