Salesforce.com has been working on integration with Facebook for a while now and apparently still is.
Salesforce for Facebook won’t become available until some time later this year. But the customer relationship management company talked up a storm about the forthcoming module in this morning’s announcement of the Service Cloud 3 suite, which the company calls a social contact center.
The concept sounds cool, but it would be cooler if there was an actual product available that connects Salesforce’s customer relationship management applications with Facebook today.
Of course, just mentioning Facebook in a product announcement seems to boost sales, but the announcement is a wee bit misleading in the way the social media capabilities are positioned.
