Users who answer questions on the social Q-and-A platform Quora can now share those answers to their LinkedIn profiles, Quora said today.
A LinkedIn is joining the existing the Twitter, Facebook and email sharing buttons the platform already serves up when users answer questions.
The move is intended to boost the professional props users get for answering questions on Quora and thus encourages higher-quality answers.
“The knowledge and expertise you share on Quora can now become part of your professional biography and identity,” the company said in a blog post.
Users have already used their activity on Quora to boost their careers, according to the company.
“People on Quora share their professional expertise about a wide range of topics. Many people have shared stories about job offers and other great professional opportunities resulting from their Quora contributions,” the blog post said.
Quora users can turn on the feature by connecting their accounts on the two social networks under account settings.
