Panera Bread Blocks Bit.ly Links
If you order a sandwich and soup from Panera Bread, don’t ask for a side of Bit.ly.
According to TechCrunch, the bakery and cafe chain blocked all Bit.ly links from customers using its free WiFi service, saying in a tweet from its official account:
Bitly is blocked b/c link is hidden & can’t determine content. Want to keep a friendly-family environment for all.
TechCrunch reported that Panera Bread appears to have blocked links from other URL shorteners, as well.
