Are you looking for a new mobile game to play this weekend? There are lots of new options for you to try, including Sparcade from GSN Games. The game allows users to play competitive multiplayer versions of Solitaire TriPeaks, Scrabble, Tetris Burst, Pac-Man and Wheel of Fortune for a chance to win virtual currency or real money. In addition, 2K and Cat Daddy Games released Mafia III: Rivals. The turn-based role-playing game allows each user to create a crime syndicate and take their crew members into single-player and multiplayer battles. If you're looking for something different to play, here's a look at some of the additional mobile games that were released this week. Crooked Path: Infinity Run (Free on iOS) - This endless runner from Ruvix challenges players to help their runner survive by tapping to turn around corners in the path. The longer players survive, the faster their character runs. Games end when players fall off of the path. Users can collect coins as they play, which can be spent on new scarves for their character. Dan the Man (Free on iOS, Android, Amazon) - This side-scrolling beat 'em up game from Halfbrick is a continuation of the Dan the Man YouTube series by Studio JOHO. In the game, players can take on the role of either Dan or Josie, and they'll be challenged to defeat an evil organization. Users can defeat enemies with both melee attacks and weapons, such as throwing stars and machine guns. Users can collect coins as they play, which can be used to purchase weapons in the game's store and to purchase upgrades for the game's characters. In addition to a campaign mode, Dan the Man includes a battle mode, a survival mode and weekly events. Mr. Catt (Free on Android) - This puzzle game from ZPlay and 7QUARK asks users to help a black cat named Catt travel through the Milky Way on a quest to find the white cat. In each of the game's 300 stages, players must combine blocks to clear them from the board. Users have access to power-ups to help them complete stages. Jade Empire: Special Edition ($9.99 on iOS) - From Aspyr Media, Jade Empire: Special Edition is a mobile port of BioWare's Jade Empire, which was released on the original Xbox in 2005. The action RPG takes players to a world "inspired by the myths and legends of ancient China." The game's controls have reportedly been "designed from the ground up for a mobile screen," and the game also supports MFi controllers. Pirates War: The Dice King (Free on iOS, Android) - This Monopoly-style digital board game from Idiocracy allows users to purchase territories as they travel through the islands of Tiakoke. Users can collect taxes from their territories during the game. Each player can also create their own pirate crew by collecting and upgrading captains, ships and pirates. Players can use their crews to pillage or take over territories owned by other players. The game allows users to play in both casual and ranked real-time multiplayer games, and users can also play single-player games. Tower Blockade (Free on iOS, Android) - This tower defense game from SoulGame Entertainment challenges users to defend their bases from waves of enemies by building colored towers on the board. Each tower has a number, which represents the tower's level. When users construct three towers of the same level and the same color next to one another, they can combine the three towers to form one tower of the next level. For example, players can construct three green level one towers next to one another, and then combine the towers to form a single green level two tower. Tower Blockade includes a level-based mode, as well as an endless challenge mode.
