Line announced the release of its new Foodie camera application on iOS and Android, designed to help users take better pictures of their food.

With Foodie, users can take new photos within the app, or import images from their devices. Users can edit their photos by choosing from 24 filters or adding effects like auto-blurring, which focuses the shot on the food item while creating a blurred background around it.

When taking a new photo in the app, Foodie’s “best angle” feature helps users take horizontal images of food lying on a table by changing the shutter button from black to yellow when the device is properly aligned. Users can also turn on filters, the auto-blurring effect and their device’s flashlight while taking photos.

After taking or editing photos, users can share them through the Line messaging app or on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Foodie is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
