True Axis has released Jet Car Stunts 2, its sequel to the original (and extremely well received) Jet Car Stunts, which was released way back in 2009. The game sees players completing stunt courses by jumping over gaps and timing the use of afterburners to clear large ramps or loops along the track.
The game’s seven cars offer different handling, but the general gameplay remains the same. Players tap on a button to accelerate, another to use the car’s rockets, and can steer by tilting their device. If players miss a jump, or otherwise screw up, they can reset the course to try again, but at a time penalty.
Each stage comes with three difficulty options, which alter the number of available resets and the amount of fuel for using rockets. The game’s hardest difficulty setting also includes additional, larger jumps than on the easier versions of tracks.
Each track comes with a leaderboard for comparing scores against the world’s best players, and level replays for watching epic wins (or epic blunders).
The base game offers 10 levels, but various in-app purchases can take the game to 120 total stages. Players can purchase level packs individually, along with a level editor pack for creating and playing on custom tracks, or they can unlock the “Mega Pack” which includes the editor and extra levels for a higher price of $4.99.
