INFOGRAPHIC: Not Just Once a Day for Facebook Users

By David Cohen Comment

Which social networks are accessed by users multiple times per day? Facebook is far and away the leader.

According to GlobalWebIndex, 50 percent of active Facebook users access the social network more than once per day, roughly double the totals for YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Google+.

GWI wrote in an email to SocialTimes:

Facebook’s success at making its platform integral to its users’ online lives is obvious when we look at usage frequency among active users on other platforms. On YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Google+, just 25 percent to 28 percent are accessing multiple times per day — one-half the figure that Facebook posts.

On some of the smaller networks, meanwhile, it’s just 15 percent or so of active users who are accessing multiple times a day. In fact, almost one-half of Tumblr’s and Pinterest’s active users say they use the platforms less than once per week.
