I'd Like to Tweet, Beneath the Sea
Tweets come by land, by sea, or by air. By air, we mean from the International Space Station, sent by astronaut Timothy Creamer in January. And sea is really an exaggeration for a 19-foot-deep dolphinarium in Odessa, Ukraine.
According to TechCrunch, the dolphinarium was the site of the first underwater Tweet, sent by Ukrainian TV journalist Julia Gorodetskaya via a plastic-sealed mobile phone using Opera Mini to access the Twitter Web site.
The Tweet was sent in Russian, but the English translation, courtesy of TechCrunch: “This is first in history #underwater_tweet.
