TweetDeck Founder Iain Dodsworth Leaving Twitter
TweetDeck founder Iain Dodsworth announced in a tweet on Friday that he’s leaving Twitter.
The news comes on the heels of Twitter’s shutdown of the TweetDeck iPhone, Android, and AIR versions, and the dissolution of TweetDeck as a legal Twitter subsidiary.
At one time, TweetDeck was absolutely the par excellence for the Twitter client experience, but those days are long gone.
Obviously, Dodsworth feels the same – in his announcement (strangely, it has since been deleted), he said that it’s been two years since Twitter acquired TweetDeck, and “now feels like a perfect time to start something new.”
