Mobile and social game publisher Gameloft has today announced the launch of Line Let’s Golf, the first golf game available on the Line mobile messaging and game platform. The free-to-play game sees players given the chance to challenge their friends across golf courses in many different locations, and under different weather conditions.
As players continue to play Line Let’s Golf, they’ll unlock new characters, costumes and power-ups to increase their golf skills. Gamers can compare their stats with others on the weekly leaderboards, with the entire game offering one-touch controls.
“With the launch of our first game on the widely popular Line Game platform, we hope to connect players more than ever worldwide,” said Alexis Gresoviac, Gameloft Vice President, Japan and Gameloft K.K. Managing Director, in a company release. “Line Let’s Golf provides a fun and casual gaming experience to all generations, with a wide appeal to the Japanese market.”
As of March, games on the Line platform had crossed more than 100 million downloads, with 55 percent of those game downloads (at the time) coming from outside of Japan.
