Healthy snack company Harvest Snaps has launched a custom advergame on Facebook called ChamPEAnship. Inspired by the world of Winter sports, the game sees players competing in events like downhill skiing and snowboarding, while learning more about the Happy Snaps brand.
Every other day, the app is updated with a new winter game, with figure skating, bobsledding and more in the works. The game was created by Harvest Snaps’ advertising agency Santy Integrated, as a playful way to increase user engagement across the company’s social channels.
The game itself is setup as an “Instant Win” sweepstakes, so each time a user plays the game, they have a chance to win Harvest Snaps products or coupons. They’ll receive a few plays for free, but can unlock more plays, increasing their chances of winning, by completing social media interactions (sharing the game on their Facebook wall, following the company on Twitter and more).
Since launching on February 10, the game has been played by 10,000 users, resulting in 6,000 new Likes for the Harvest Snaps Facebook fan page. In addition, the company’s Twitter account has seen a 22 percent increase in growth, and its Instagram has seen a 41 percent increase.
