Bandai Namco Introduces Exalted Cards in Outcast Odyssey (Exclusive)

Exalted cards begin with the same stats as each card’s non-Exalted version, but will gain better stats and more effective skills when enhanced.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America gave SocialTimes an exclusive first look at the next content update for Outcast Odyssey, its collectible card game on iOS and Android. The update introduces new ‘Exalted cards’ to the game, as well as a resource management system allowing players to make these Exalted Cards more powerful.

Exalted cards are rare, special editions of the game’s regular cards, which have a golden border. They can be earned by defeating monsters and completing quests, and can also be purchased in packs in the game’s store.

Exalted cards begin with the same stats as each card’s non-Exalted version, but will gain better stats and more effective skills when enhanced.

Players will need to collect resource tokens to evolve their Exalted cards, and can only evolve these cards using other Exalted cards. Gamers may earn resource tokens after battling enemies in the game’s campaigns and bounties, as well as select events. Users may also receive resource tokens as rewards as they complete new quests.

Each day of the week, the available resource token will change, and can come in the form of a hero, weapon, armor, pet, tech, nature or magic resource token. Players will be able to keep track of their tokens in a new inventory screen.

Outcast Odyssey is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. The Exalted cards update will roll out on both platforms beginning Thursday, February 25.
