AppFlood, the Android exclusive cross-promotion network is a hit, says creator PapayaMobile. The company reports AppFlood is already generating as many as 200 million impressions a month, an impressive feat given the fact that the network only launched in July. There are currently more than 350 developers using AppFlood.
The cross-promotion service (which is free and open to all Android developers, not just those who are already member of PapayaMobile’s mobile-social gaming network) is also generating click-through rates as high as 45 percent, and install rates as high as 37 percent.
Papaya Mobile reports the network can drive anywhere between four and seven thousand non-incentivized installs per app on a daily basis, with a seven day retention rate of 30 percent. In September the average cost of a non-incentivized install (CPI) generated through AppFlood was $0.40, which Papaya claims is 70 percent lower than the average Android CPI of $1.86.
“In less than three months this product has emerged as not only a game changer for our company, but also for the entire mobile apps industry,” said Si Shen, PapayaMobile’s CEO in a statement.
According to today’s announcement, PapayaMobile is stepping up development on AppFlood. The company is planning to introduce a Unity-compatible version of the AppFlood SDK this month. The company is also working on an iOS version of AppFlood, and plans to improve the service’s analytics and targeting tools and introduce new ad formats.
“We are expanding and iterating at break-neck speed in order to become the market leader for cross-promotion by the end of this year,” said Shen.
