Research: Social Media is Full of Good News and Untruths
News flash: Everybody is socializing online. According to an infographic from Schools.com, a resource for education information, we’re spending literally billions of minutes online every month talking to people. In some cases, we’re even missing real-life events so we can type about them online.
But when good news happens, we’re reporting it to everyone we know. Nearly two-thirds of people (62 percent) involved in the Badoo study referenced in the infographic say they’re using their updates to talk about engagements, pregnancies, and other great happenings.
