Two things that do not need any more bad headlines: Detroit and Public Relations. Regretfully, two birds were killed with one terrible stone in this story from WXYZ in Motor City.
Phil Frame, 61, began New Years in handcuffs and behind bars. Not a great way to ring in 2016 for a seasoned PR veteran.
Investigators from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office Computer Crimes Unit received a tip that child porn images were uploaded from a home in Shelby Township. The tip came from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
That’s when the cops came knocking on the door of the senior account director at West Bloomfield-based Constand Communications Group. Frame is also the former public relations representative for the Macomb County Board of Commissioners, as well as Matty Moroun’s Detroit International Bridge Company.
They came to his house, where he lives alone. By way of a search warrant, authorities found the child porn (both printed and electronic) and a little bit of hippie lettuce.
Frame was arrested and charged with five counts of possession of child sexually abusive material, one count of using a computer to commit a crime and misdemeanor charge of possessing marijuana.
He posted bond and is now out of jail. He is due back in Court on Jan. 19.
