Yahoo Backpedals, Will 'Compensate Customers' for DRM Music Disaster

Well, at least that didn’t take long: InformationWeek reports that Yahoo said it would reimburse customers who bought music that can no longer be easily played as a result of the company shutting down its online music store.

Carrie Davis, spokeswoman for Yahoo Music, said in the report that the digital rights management (DRM) servers still would be taken down, severely limiting the use of the files. However, Yahoo did not intend to abandon its customers.
