Wrangler Crowdsources Its Next Big Jean

Wrangler is now accepting submissions for design ideas for the denim brand’s next limited edition line of jeans. Next Blue by Wrangler wants video clips from consumers by March 29.

Wrangler execs will choose five finalists, who will travel to Wrangler’s North Carolina HQ to work with marketing pros, designers, and others to create the jeans, which will then be put to a public vote for one week beginning April 19. The winner will be announced on April 26 and will receive $5,000.

Jeans, particularly for women, are an individual preference, which is why there are so many different cuts even within a brand’s line. So, this sounds like a difficult thing to crowdsource, but we’ll see. One of the submissions — from an advertising designer — attached above.
