Where Do Investors Get Their Advice?

Just as Wall Street was crashing down last fall, Forbes.com commissioned a survey of investors to determine where they get their investment advice.

A vast majority, 65%, said the Internet. That’s up from 52% in 2005.

Newspapers were cited by 17% of respondents as the most important source of investing information. That’s down from 20% in 2005.

The survey, conducted in November by business communications firm FD and their Affluent Dynamics Panel, shows 47% spend 20 or more hours per week on the Internet (excluding email).
