How do you use video chat?  Do you use it to talk to friends and family?  To play games?  Watch movies?  Keep your long-distance relationship afloat?  A new infographic from video chat app Rounds, The Video Connection, explores the ways in which we use video chat, as well as the demographics of those who are chatting.

According to the infographic, 26 percent of men use video chat while 20 percent of women do.  These video chatters run the gamut when it comes to age, with folks of all ages chatting.  However, younger generations, not surprisingly, seem to video chat the most.  29 percent of 18 to 29 year olds and 25 percent of 30 to 49 year olds use video chat, while only 16 percent of 50 to 64 year olds and 15 percent of people 65 and over do.  Additionally, more than twice the amount of people use video chat in urban areas as in rural areas.

The Rounds infographic also provides a list of some of the most popular ways that people are using video chat these days, from date night to bedtime stories and everything in between.  How are you using video chat?
