A new study from Flurry Analytics shows that photo and video apps now account for the fastest growing category of apps, but YouTube may be suffering as a result.

If you’ve taken a look at your Facebook newsfeed recently then odds are you’ve been noticing a rise in posts from video sharing apps like Viddy and SocialCam.  A new study from Flurry Analytics shows that photo and video apps now account for the fastest growing category of apps, but YouTube may be suffering as a result.

The Flurry study reveals that the Photo & Video category of apps has grown the most, in terms of minutes spent per active user, between October 2011 and March 2012.
