Twitter Hires Ex-Google Communication Manager For Editorial Director Role

Karen Wickre, the former blog strategist and global communications manager for Google, has taken a job at Twitter as its editorial director. Wickre will be charged with developing a consistent Twitter “voice” across its various public platforms.

Wickre left Google earlier this month, after 9 years on the job. There, as Search Engine Land reports, she was not only in charge of global communications, but was also credited as the mother of the Google Blog.
