Trailerpop has announced a new update to its mobile movie discovery platform of the same name. The update sees Trailerpop partnering with Relativity Media to bring the upcoming Robert De Niro film The Family to Trailerpop’s movie trailer and quiz platform.
Trailerpop gives users access to more than 20,000 HD movie trailers, and allows them to answer trivia questions to earn points and compete with friends. Users can create their own lists of movies, or can browse lists created by Trailerpop’s editors, celebrities and other influential users. The app connects users to outlets for purchasing movie tickets, or for renting and buying already released films.
With the new Relativity Media campaign, users will have a chance to answer trivia questions based specifically on The Family’s trailer. The app has also been updated with a behind-the-scenes look at the movie and its actors, and a contest offering 100 exclusive movie posters to lucky entrants.
Trailerpop has already proven successful in keeping users inside the application over the long term. For instance, CEO and founder of Trailerpop Jon Vlassopulos says some members of the Trailerpop community watch around 60 movie trailers each month, while the average for most people is just one or two.
“Trailerpop is essentially your playground for discovering entertainment so our app provides the perfect platform for studios and brands to cost effectively reach a highly targeted and super engaged fan base,” Vlassopulos said in a company statement.
