After a full week, packed with the hustle and bustle of elections, and possibly a big work load as well, you’re probably gearing up for the weekend. What better way to prepare then with a round-up of some of the best videos from the past week? This week we’ve got a great assortment of videos for you, from an awesome iPhone touch-top table to a singing flash mob, a 7-year old rapper, a Tea Party laugh-a-thon, and an adorable surprised rat. Enjoy the videos, and enjoy your weekend!
Table Connect for iPhone
Three developers from Austria have built an awesome new product called Table Connect for iPhone. They demo the product – a huge table with a touch-screen top that you can plug your iPhone into and control the phone on a much, much larger screen. Can you imagine playing Angry Birds on this thing? That would be sick.
The T-Mobile Welcome Back
Everyone loves flash mobs, and T-Mobile has been one of the top players in the flash mob game. The T-Mobile Dance, a flash mob in Liverpool Street Station, has been viewed over 23 million times on YouTube; their sing-along in Trafalgar Square has over 3.4 million times; and now they’ve got a singing flash mob video on YouTube that is spreading like wildfire. With over 1.6 million views this week, ‘The T-Mobile Welcome Back’ surprises passengers at Heathrow airport with a heartfelt, welcome back singing performance. What’s really cool about this is that it is a completely vocal performance – even the instruments are people’s voices.
Hi, I’m a Tea-Partier
Remember Brian Maupin, the Best Buy employee who almost lost his job because of a funny ‘iPhone4 vs HTC Evo’ video he uploaded to YouTube? This week a Tea Party parody of the iPhone vs Evo video is going viral and has gotten over 1 million views. The video came just in time for the election. “Democrats want to make you drive a p**** electric car, because they believe in a made up thing they call global warming. But it snowed last winter, so global warming is clearly a lie.”
A cute rat with a cute shock
And could this little guy, who has been making his way up the YouTube charts this week, be the new ‘Dramatic Look’?
7 Year Old Raps Ke$ha
Last week we wrote about 7-year old YouTube rapper Mattyb and his spoof of Willow Smith’s ‘Whip My Hair’. Mattyb has been getting a lot of coverage lately – some good and some bad – and this week he’s back with yet another hit, a Ke$ha cover where he raps about himself and tells all the haters out there a thing or two.
