Survey: PR Agency Salaries Decreased Almost 11% in 2009

Do you work at a PR agency? If so, your salary decreased an average of 10.6 percent last year. In-house corporate communications jobs decreased by even more: 11.3 percent. Agency salaries increased 2.7 percent in 2008.

Billing rates decreased across the board as well, however they were down seven to ten percent for independent agencies, versus five to seven percent for holding company owned agencies.

The figures come from The Official PR Salary & Bonus Report – 2010 Edition, recently released by PR executive recruiting firm Spring Associates.
