Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed the newest video project for the social network’s Oculus VR virtual reality unit, announcing the release of documentary Step to the Line for Oculus Video for Gear VR and as a Facebook 360 video in a Facebook post over the weekend.
Step to the Line, a look “deep inside” the prison system, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last Friday.
Zuckerberg said in his post:
One of the most powerful side effects of VR is empathy—the ability to understand other people better when you feel like you’re actually with them.
