Some iPad News: Wired Tablet App Preview, and Delays In Periodical Negotiations

Neither of these stories are about books, but there’s some good and bad news for Apple’s iPad, and what happens to iPad affects us all…

First, as you can see above, Wired has created a video preview of its tablet version. Looks pretty cool.

Second, there’s some delay in negotiations between Apple and periodical publishers, who want more user data than Apple is willing to provide, and they’re not satisfied with the 70/30 revenue split. The story was first reported by The Financial Times, but this links to Teleread, which doesn’t require registration (FT is one of those damn publications that limits users online access. Ugh.)
