Ringtone Sales Continue to Fall

Following up on an earlier NYT report about falling ringtone sales, MocoNews is reporting more of the same. Warner Music saw ringtone sales fall in the U.S. while remaining flat internationally in the first quarter, according to CFO Michael D. Fleisher speaking during the company’s earnings call Wednesday.

Fleisher said that mobile remains soft, while new mobile products—including ringback tones, full track downloads, and other more innovative mobile offerings—had yet to generate meaningful revenue, according to the article.
