Peanuts Expands Throughout Social Media

For over half a century, Peanuts has graced newspapers, books, television and Broadway, and now the brand is changing with the digital times. The brand is timeless. I am sure it will be very profitable in the social media world.

Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy and the rest of the Peanuts gang developed by Charles Schultz will be expanding into social media with mobile gaming, e-books, Facebook and digital apps. Peanuts Worldwide announced their long term goal of developing the Peanuts brand into a leading global entertainment and multi-media property.

“Our overall strategic goal has been to continue to make the brand relevant to younger generations,” said Neil Cole, Chairman and CEO of Iconix Brand Group, which owns Peanuts Worldwide.
