Paste Magazine Taps Obamamania

Paste Magazine has launched Obamicon.Me where visitors can create their own version of artist Shepard Fairey’s cult phenomenon poster from the 2008 Presidential election. Fairey’s poster, titled “Hope”, gained widespread acclaim during Barack Obama’s campaign for the Presidency.

“Shepard’s original Hope poster was so iconic, we thought people would have fun making their own version to make their own personal statements about politics, culture or whatever,” said Josh Jackson, Editor-In-Chief of Paste magazine.

Since Obamicon.Me’s soft launch last Wednesday, more than 10,000 “Obamicons” have been created.
