oneforty Premium Twitter App Store Open for Business

As reported last week, oneforty launched its premium Twitter app store, under which third-party apps and tools for the microblogging service are sold at a minimum price of $0.99, with oneforty taking 30% of the purchase price (20% if the app is priced at more than $14.50), and TechCrunch reported that its payment system is powered by PayPal, and that 117 apps were available for purchase as of Thursday morning.

oneforty CEO Laura Fitton told Mashable, “I’ve seen so many really great Twitter apps disappear because the developer couldn’t get enough exposure to pay hosting fees,” and Mashable also confirmed that the company closed a $1.85M
