Facebook said in a blog post Monday that 650 million of its users are connected to at least one sports page, adding that Facebook Live videos spur 10 times more comments than non-live videos.
The social network also provided several examples of the use of Facebook Live in the sports world, including:
Behind the scenes: The Cleveland Cavaliers celebrate in the locker room after winning the National Basketball Association Finals; FC Barcelona went live from the pitch after clinching the La Liga title; and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry took fans along for on-field introductions at the National Football League’s Pro Bowl.
