New hires in mobile: Big Fish Games, KLab and Plumbee

Hiring in the mobile apps sector was up significantly this week, with 30 new hires spread between 16 companies. Based on information from LinkedIn and other sources, Gameloft and GREE reported the most activity with 5 hires each. This week’s highest profile hire went to StepLeader which brought on Chris Hanburger as VP of business development.

  • Anabel Willie, Web Designer — Willie comes from Vostu, where she was a vec artist.
  • Erin Hassey, Digital Distribution Marketing Associate — Hassey also begins her career at Gameloft.
  • Regan Music, QA Tester — As does Music.
  • Luis Hidalgo, Gameplay Developer — Hidalgo is also a programmer at Sadiel.

  • Bruce Morrison, Producer — Three more hires this week at Gloops. Morrison was a producer, business development at ngmoco.
  • Mark Tse, Senior Digital Artist — Tse was formerly game artist at Playdom.
  • Jessica Bruno, Digital Artist — Bruno was a freelance artist and game artist at Sugar before joining Gloops.

  • Daniel Brown, Business Intelligence Data Analyst — Brown worked in account management and data science at Kontagent.
  • David Eckelberry, Sr Game Designer — Eckelberry was previously a lead designer at EA.

  • Oleksandr Kurochka, QA Engineer — Kurochka was a QA engineer at Memocast inc.
