LifeLock Launches Identity Online Account Management App

The app can help users change the credit card information and addresses associated with their accounts.

LifeLock announced the release of Identity, a mobile app designed to help users manage their online accounts.

Specifically, the Identity app can help users change the credit card information and addresses associated with their accounts at “more than 50 popular online services and counting,” such as travel sites and retailers, among others.

The Identity app allows users to enter their login credentials for each account individually, or they can import their credentials from their browser or password manager. From there, users can store the credit card information and address associated with each account in the app.

When a user’s credit card information or address changes, they can enter their new information in the Identity app and select the accounts they’d like to update. The app will then login to the selected accounts and update the information.

LifeLock said the app stores account credentials, credit cards and addresses locally on a user’s device.

In a statement, Marco Wirasinghe, product management vice president at LifeLock, commented:

In a time where personal assistant technologies are growing in popularity, we believe Identity addresses a unique consumer need for help with sensitive tasks such as updating your financial account information. People really value their free time and need help better organizing their lives.

The Identity app is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
