iOS and Android app stores now tied with 700,000 apps each
There are now more than 700,000 Google Play apps reports Bloomberg. The number signals the Android app ecosystem is now roughly the same size as the iOS one.
For those of you keeping score, during the iPhone 5 launch event on Sept. 12, Apple revealed there were more than 700,000 apps in the iTunes App Store. Apple also repeated that number during its Q4 2012 earnings call.
