Did you catch the season premiere of Mad Men last night? The title of the episode was “Public Relations.”
We won’t give away too much to those of you looking to catch up via DVR, but we do know that Don Draper, the creative force of Sterling Cooper was forced to endure a few media interviews, starting with Advertising Age. That one didn’t go so well with Draper, who not surprisingly didn’t like the question, “Who is Don Draper?”
However, Draper nailed a second interview with The Wall Street Journal. Meanwhile, Rance Crain, president of AdAge publisher Crain Communications engaged in a little PR of his own today, penning an op-ed in the publication that says the Mad Men depiction of Advertising Age in the 1960’s was way off.
