Hair Removal Battle, with Lasers

TRIA, the makers of an $795 at-home laser hair removal product filed suit against Phoenix Rising Laser hair removal center and R. Couri Hay Creative Public Relations, seeking to prevent communication of erroneous statements, according to a press release.

It goes on to say that both Phoenix Rising and R. Couri Hay sent damaging emails about Tria’s safety and effectiveness. Apparently, getting hair zapped is a $4 billion business.

Mr. Hay’s firm specializes in society clients ranging from plastic surgeons, to designers, hotels, and restaurants. Phoenix Rising is not listed on the client list.

Maybe the economy is to blame, and Hamptons-goers saw it on QVC (one of only a few suppliers) and decided to save a few bucks and zap at home.
